NC Band Concerts The LGB&D took its most recent (seventh tour) to
Germany during June & July of 2008.
We made some new friends in Kiedrich and Gladbach and renewed old
friendships in Gleich am Berg, Germany. People from Kiedrich and
Gladbach will be visiting us in July 2009. Here's some links for

is a
world-reknowned tubist and was the featured soloist for the LGB 2000
Spring Concert. The Raleigh Ringers
is one of the nation's premier handbell choirs, and put on a special
concert for our friends from Gleich am Berg, Germany when the visited
in May 2003. Their director is married to a member of our dance
group. Jim Walker, one
of our long time members who plays
trumpet, has moved to Florida and is working with and performing with
these groups. Jim is a trumpeter and conductor. Jim is also active in two other musical groups Lee County Band
and The Vintage Brass The LGB&D has also visited and had exchange visits
with several European musical groups in our travels since 1971. They
