DANCERS
The band is ably complemented by our Schuhplattler
dance group. We are a volunteer, non-profit Bavarian
Schuhplattler and folk dance club. We come from the greater
Raleigh, North Carolina area and have approximately 30 active
members. We also warmly welcome anyone interested in joining our
group. Please email the
dance director if you are interested in participating.
The dancers perform original and traditional Bavarian and other
German dances. Our Tract is traditional Bavarian. The men dancers
wear black lederhosen with green embroidery, wappentrager
suspenders, white shirts, green neckties with red floral pattern,
green vests with red piping and swallow pockets, alpine or
miesbacher hats with feathers or gamsbarts, white trachten
kneesocks and gauplattler shoes. The women dancers wear Bavarian
blue dirndles with black laced bodice, white aprons, peasant
sleeved blouses, white stockings, and miesbacher shoes.
